Chiropractic is for everyone!
We daily see people who have pain and disease, to people who are simply striving for optimal health. Our primary belief is in natural and conservative methods of health care.
Doctors of chiropractic have a deep respect for the human body's ability to heal itself without the use of surgery or medication. Careful attention is devoted to the bio-mechanics, structure and function of the spine, its effects on the musculoskeletal and neurological systems, and the role played by the proper operation of these systems in restoring and preserving health. Our focus is in the treatment and prevention of disease, as well as the promotion of public health, and a wellness approach to patient health care.
What is a Chiropractor?
A chiropractor is a health care professional focused on the diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular disorders, with an emphasis on treatment through manual adjustment and/or manipulation of the spine. Most chiropractors seek to reduce pain and improve the functionality of patients as well as to educate them on how they can account for their own health via exercise, ergonomics and other therapies to treat back pain.
Dr. Hill goes a step beyond what you expect of most chiropractors. Through his use of Applied Kinesiology, also known as Nutrition Response Technique or muscle-testing, he is able to pinpoint underlying causes that may be contributing to your discomfort. Not only do patients receive traditional chiropractic adjustments but many combat illnesses such as the common cold or flu with recommended nutrition personally tailored to their needs. This allows patients to get to the root of their complaints and strengthen their immunity, rather than treating symptoms and only offering temporary relief. Dr. Hill's ultimate goal is to help you achieve maximum long-term results through chiropractic and nutrition.
Your initial visit includes a health consultation and an adjustment. This visit is similar to a standard examination procedure other musculoskeletal health providers would administer. Dr. Hill will invest time in you, learning the details of your history and more about your present complaint upon consultation. Your vital signs, range of motion, muscle strength, and other functions will be assessed in order to find the root of your pain. Additionally, the chiropractor will examine your structure and function of your spine along with the patient's overall health and wellness. The doctor's ultimate goal of this appointment is to identify the areas of complaint and the nature of the symptoms to find the underlying cause and all contributing factors.
Applied Kinesiology is a system that evaluates structural, chemical and mental aspects of health using manual muscle testing combined with other standard methods of diagnosis. Applied Kinesiology, a non-invasive system of evaluating body function that is unique in the healing arts, has become a dynamic movement in health care in its relatively short existence.
The combined terms “applied” and “kinesiology” describe the basis of this system, which is the use of manual muscle testing to evaluate body function through the dynamics of the musculoskeletal system. Treatments may involve specific joint manipulation or mobilization, various myofascial therapies, cranial techniques, meridian and acupuncture skills, clinical nutrition, dietary management, counseling skills, evaluating environmental irritants and various reflex procedures.

Sources of pain differ but can be managed in numerous ways through chiropractic. The system of nerves is restored to a healthy function through a spinal adjustment. However, on top of that, we can pinpoint the source of the issue through applied kinesiology. From there, the doctor can recommend natural supplements to support any nutritional imbalances. In order to eliminate symptoms and naturally support wellness, he may also recommend ways to optimize foods and environmental factors you come in contact with. Exercises that will help strengthen and tighten up sore areas may also be suggested so you may be working on solving the root of your issue and only coming in for routine tune-ups.
While there are multiple weight loss programs we could recommend, we tend to stick to two we've seen the most success with. The first is the 21-day detoxification/weight loss program. All of the products used in this program are whole food based. You'll receive a packet with directions for the program which include a list of approved foods. On this program, you'll use our 7.2 Shake two times a day for meals (an organic clean protein for weight management and nutrition). Additionally, you'll use recommended SP Green Food capsules, Colon Care powder, and Livaplex, which help give your body the nutrition needed to get you on track and detox your body. While this is certainly a weight loss program many of our patients have had great success on, they often rave about just how good they feel while on this plan. Even if you're just looking to detox your body to get on the road to cleaner eating, this program is a great kick-start.
If you're looking to drop weight fast, this program is for you. However, it's a serious commitment as you must decrease your daily calorie income to 500 calories. Dr. Simeons created the HCG protocol as he wanted to find a short term fix (unlike the diet and food industries) to long term problems. While the low calorie diet phase of the diet is limited to 500 calories per day, Dr. Simeons focused more on the simplicity or picking from the food groups, and not paying attention to the number of calories in individual items. There is an approved food list included in this packet as well as HCG Complex drops you'll take with each meal. Your first two days on the diet will be loading days where you're meant to eat as much fattening food as possible to restore structural fat and avoid hunger at startup. On the third day, you begin using the 500 calorie diet. Per this protocol, you can do a minimum of 23 days up to a maximum of 60 days on HCG with this low calorie diet. The next three weeks are a maintenance phase where you can eat a more regular diet except for starch and sugar. After this phase, you gradually introduce sugar and starch again. Many are able to lose around one pound per day, though results certainly vary especially depending on how well you follow the guidelines.
